Claydol is an epic Ground / Psychic Pokémon from Hoenn with a base stat total of 500. Its first move, if you are not given a starter kit, is Mud Shot. Level-up cards only offer moves from its types plus the shared Normal pool.

Claydol is a bomber. It walks in and explodes after about a one-second warning on the ground. The blast also hurts other wild Pokémon, so you can bait it into a pack.

No. Claydol joins the collection from the Hoenn gacha, or as a wild shiny if you defeat one.

Claydol is Ground / Psychic. Attack type follows the move, not the Pokémon, so a Normal move such as Tackle still deals Normal damage.

Can Claydol be shiny?

Yes. A wild Claydol is shiny at 1/4096, and a gacha copy is shiny at 1/100. Defeating the wild shiny adds it to the collection.

Is Claydol a rift legendary?

No. Claydol can appear in waves. If its BST sits in a boss band, it can also be one of the five timed bosses.
